One of the fastest growing tech markets is small business mobile applications. Liau Yun Qing of ZDNet Asia www.zdnet.com agrees in “Mobile Apps Gain Inroad to SMBs” that small and midsize business (SMBs) apps are on the rise and will continue to grow in importance.
Dan Shey of ABI Research finds that mobile apps are very important to small business employee, especially the smartphone users and:
“Vu-Thanh Nguyen, research analyst and AMI-Partners, concurred. In an e-mail, he noted that more and more SMBs are using mobile apps in their business over the years. In fact, he expects further growth in mobile app use as smartphones and tablets become more powerful in performance, and more applications are developed for or ported to these devices.”
Nguyen finds that the consumerization of IT and the growth of cloud services are two reasons that SMBs are adopting mobile apps. However, he finds that biggest reason for this trend is the pressure to keep up with market needs. This is not surprising since the evolution of mobile development on multiple platforms and for smartphones and tablets is changing the marketplace and giving businesses numerous mobile options.
Innovative mobile application development firms such as ThinkWeb3 and SocialAdMx will continue to see their markets evolve. This will allow them to showcase their talents and reach more people with their technology. Michael Onghai, a smart investment advisor, states that watching these developments could lead to some good opportunities. So keep your eye on this market for new products and financial opportunities.
